Lifted Gateway is the payments technology under everything Lifted builds — end-to-end encrypted tokenization, automatic Level 2/3 interchange optimization, 3-D Secure authentication, and an operator console. This page describes the technology. If you're a merchant shopping for a processor and pricing, that's a quick handoff to Lifted Payments.
A payment gateway is the layer that takes a card, secures it, authenticates it, optimizes how it's processed, and settles it — reliably, every time. Lifted Gateway is that layer for the Lifted estate. It's the same core that runs Lifted Payments, Lifted POS, ShipKit, and the terminal apps: build the hard payments plumbing once, and reuse it everywhere.
This is a description of the technology and its capabilities — tokenization, interchange optimization, authentication, and the operator console. It is deliberately not a merchant-acquisition page. When you want rates, terminals, and an account, that's Lifted Payments, and we hand you straight there.
Card data is encrypted end-to-end with Voltage and replaced by tokens, so raw PANs never sit in the application. That's what supports a SAQ-A posture for card-present acceptance and keeps sensitive data out of scope wherever it can be.
On commercial and government cards, the gateway appends Level 2 and Level 3 line-item data automatically — the tax, invoice, and itemized fields that qualify a transaction for lower interchange. Better rates, no manual keying.
Card-not-present flows can force 3-D Secure, authenticating the cardholder with their issuing bank and shifting liability for fraudulent chargebacks away from the merchant — the same protection built into ShipKit's checkout.
Behind the rails is a console for boarding, portfolio, earnings, and transaction reporting — how operators run merchants day to day. A dedicated public frontend is in development; today it lives inside the Lifted operator tooling.
The gateway routes card processing on the Maverick gateway and ACH/eCheck on the NMI gateway — proven, bank-grade rails rather than a black box. That method-aware routing is what lets one integration take cards and bank payments cleanly.
Because it's shared infrastructure, every Lifted product inherits the same security and interchange behavior: POS checkouts, ShipKit label payments, terminal apps, and merchant portal transactions all ride the same tokenization and Level 2/3 logic. Build the rail once; the whole estate gets it.
This page is about the gateway technology. If you want a rate review, a terminal, or to open a merchant account, Lifted Payments is the buyer-facing arm — interchange-plus pricing quoted after a one-statement review, with no application fee.
